Behind the eye

Before making an image, I need to understand what it has to say.

I'm Daniel Martín, a photographer, designer and creative director. I have lived and worked in several countries for more than ten years. Today, from Alicante, I bring that experience to photography, visual identity and web design projects.

My story, told through places

Where I learned to look.

The places that have shaped the way I see.

01AlicanteWhere it all began. Mediterranean light was my first teacher: I learned to look before I understood why.
Finland
02FinlandThe silence of the north. With so little light I learned to value every ray, and the force of what stays unsaid.
France
03FranceI learned to order the frame and leave room for what matters.
Japan
04JapanDetail and patience. I learned to observe carefully before shooting.
05Cambodia · Southeast AsiaThe luminous chaos of the tropics. I learned to find order and calm inside the bustle.
06AfricaThe force of gesture and the truth of the spontaneous. Less control, more presence.
07AlicanteThe return, with different eyes. An outsider's gaze applied to home ground: that's where my way of working was born.

How I look

Every decision changes what an image says.

Light, gesture, context and identity guide the way I shoot.

A bee against a golden reflection
LightIt sets the mood and directs attention.
Portrait of a Sahrawi woman looking at the camera
GestureAn expression or a posture changes how we read a person.
An adobe building under a starry sky
ContextThe setting places the image and gives it meaning.
A detail of white bed linen
IdentityThe details make the image recognisable as that person's or that brand's.

One person, several disciplines

Four crafts, one way of looking.

I photograph to tell stories.
I design to bring clarity.
I develop brands to express their identity.
I build websites to present their work.

The personal side

What's on the table.
